XL Certamen Ciceronianum Arpinas

Studies “Marco Tullio Cicerone” agreed on the impossibility to organize the XL edition of Certamen Ciceronianum Arpinas according to the usual procedure. In fact the event, which attracts each year hundreds of young Latinists from all over Europe to Arpino, was cancelled in 2020 and is at risk even in the coming year.

The Board of Directors expressed great concern in front of undesirable effects that a further postponement could cause to the prestige and historicity of the event. Therefore it tried to identify an alternative solution able, considering the current situation, to preserve the Certamen Ciceronianum Arpinas and the values associated with it.

Based on this, the Board of Directors of Center for Humanistic Studies “Marco Tullio Cicerone” has approved a revised programme of Certamen Ciceronianum Arpinas.

The details of the 2021 edition will be made public by 20th December 2020 and the call for applications will be transmitted and published.
